Friday, Feb.15, 2008 was the night that the Madison Theater in Covington Kentucky hosted the debut of the much anticapated show of LOWA. LOWA is based here in Cincinnati Ohio and have 5 songs recorded and have been actively seeking record label attention. So who is in this band that's creating such a buzz? Mega-talented Jason VieBrooks (ex-bassist for Grip Inc., Heathen), Steve Tucker (ex-Morbid Angel) and Steve Jacobs (ex-Forbidden, Testament, ManMadeGod). Jason VieBrooks is playing nothing but DEAN Guitars and shredding them at master level, Steve Tucker is stronger than ever on vocals, Steve Jacobs is having the time of his life on drums and Bobby Gaskins is doing an excellent job on bass. All through the set I heard comments of praise from the fans, friends and family that were in attendance about how good this music is. LOWA music is fresh but still true to their old-school roots. Wild crowd reaction to each song was genuine. It was an exciting night for both the band and the fans! The next night LOWA did a show in Toldeo Ohio and the response was HUGE!! After the show, the band was mobbed with fans seeking autographs and showing their appreciation and respect for the music of both past and present. Soon LOWA will have a website/myspace page up and I will let you know where and how to access it as soon as it comes available. Until then...here's some photos I did to mark this event. Enjoy!
